## Generate figures

- **Text to figure** — describe entities, relationships and the exact labels you need; FigEditor drafts a figure in the workspace: https://figeditor.com/generate-figure
- **Sketch to figure** — upload a hand drawing or whiteboard photo and keep its layout while the figure is redrawn.
- **Reference image to figure** — restyle or redraw an existing image as a cleaner scientific figure.
- **Paper to poster** — upload a PDF or DOCX paper (200–60,000 characters of text) and choose a template: https://figeditor.com/scientific-poster
- **Graphical abstracts** — guided entry for journal graphical abstracts: https://figeditor.com/graphical-abstract-generator

Several image models are available. The credit cost of the selected model is shown before you generate, and a failed generation refunds its credits automatically.

## Refine and edit

- Regenerate a selected region (region edit) or change text in place (text edit) without redrawing the whole figure.
- Earlier image versions are kept in the project, so you can compare and return to them.
- The project editor arranges images, text, shapes, arrows and connectors on a canvas.

## Export

- PNG at the actual generated size.
- Editable SVG and editable PPTX from the project editor.
- Figure layout exports PNG, TIFF, PDF or SVG at 300 or 600 DPI.

## Usage rights

FigEditor does not claim ownership of generated work. You may use and edit it for research, education and commercial projects, subject to applicable law and any third-party rights. ## Accuracy

Generated figures are drafts. Authors remain responsible for checking every label, structure and claim against their own evidence before publication.
