Using FigEditor

These terms apply to FigEditor at https://figeditor.com, a service for creating and editing scientific visuals. Use the service only if you can enter a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you. If acting for an organization, you must have its permission. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected by these terms.

Your account

Sign in with Google. Your first sign-in creates your FigEditor account; we do not ask for your Google password. Keep your Google account secure and contact us if you suspect someone has accessed your FigEditor account without permission.

Your material and generated work

You keep your rights in the material you upload. Only submit material you have permission to process, including through external AI services. You allow us to store, transform and transmit it as needed to provide and protect the features you request. This permission does not authorize us to sell your material or use it in advertising.

We do not claim ownership of your generated work. You may use and edit it for research, education and commercial projects, subject to applicable law and any rights in third-party material. We cannot grant rights belonging to others or guarantee that AI output is unique or protected by copyright. Our software, branding and underlying templates remain subject to their own rights.

Review AI output

AI can produce incorrect labels, relationships and images. Check scientific accuracy, permissions and your publisher's AI rules before use. Do not represent generated illustrations as experimental evidence or fabricate research results. FigEditor does not provide medical advice or guarantee journal acceptance. Export compatibility and editability depend on the file and the feature used.

Plans, credits and renewal

All listed prices are in USD. Checkout shows the amount and any applicable tax before you pay. Monthly plans renew monthly; annual plans charge the full annual total at purchase and each annual renewal. A monthly equivalent on an annual plan is not a monthly payment option. Subscriptions renew until cancelled.

Manage or cancel your subscription from Billing. Cancellation stops the next renewal and normally leaves your current paid period active until its end. It does not automatically refund earlier payments. Existing credits have no scheduled expiry while your account remains open. Credits are service units, not money, and cannot be redeemed for cash. The interface shows the credit cost of an operation before submission. Failed operations that are not delivered restore the deducted credits.

Billing problems and refunds

Contact support@figeditor.com with your account email and receipt reference for duplicate charges, billing mistakes or undelivered paid services. We review refund requests individually and honor any refund or withdrawal rights required by law. Cancellation alone does not create an automatic refund entitlement. A cash refund may reverse the corresponding credits or paid access; restoring credits after a failed generation is separate from a cash refund. There is no unconditional 30-day money-back offer.

Fair use and availability

Do not infringe rights, upload unlawful content or malware, exploit children, bypass payment or access controls, or disrupt other users. We may restrict access when necessary to investigate abuse, protect users or meet legal obligations. Where practical we explain the reason and allow you to contact support. We do not promise uninterrupted operation or error-free output. Any exclusion of warranties or liability applies only to the extent permitted by law and does not exclude rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

Privacy, changes and contact

Our Privacy Policy explains data handling. We update the date above when these terms change and give appropriate notice of material changes, including changes affecting future billing. Contact support@figeditor.com about terms, cancellation, refunds or complaints.
