Product scope and research workflow guide

Choose a workflow by the material you have and the output you need. These are practical starting points, not a promise of scientific accuracy or journal acceptance.

Workflows you can explore

  1. Draft a new research figure

Start with a description of entities, relationships and exact labels. Review the draft against your evidence before refining it. Generation requires a signed-in account and sufficient credits; available models and cost appear in the workspace.

  2. Trace existing raster artwork

Use the SVG converter for flat artwork, logos and diagrams. Upload a supported bitmap, compare tracing presets, then download the SVG or open it in the editor. Photographs and tiny text may trace poorly; keep the original.

  3. Revise an existing vector file

Open the SVG editor to import vector artwork, adjust objects and labels, and export a copy. Inspect imported fonts, effects and grouping before making detailed edits. Export a portable backup instead of relying only on browser storage.

  4. Study examples before drafting

Browse scientific visualization examples by subject and figure type. Use the relevant example as a starting brief, then replace its assumptions, terminology and claims with your own verified research.

  5. Practise the complete workflow

Follow the tutorials from input through review and export. The practice checklist saves your progress in this browser. Check the downloaded file at its intended size before putting it into a manuscript or presentation.

Before you commit to a workflow

A generated image does not establish a finding, citation or statistical result. Some output regions may remain raster images even when the document is exported as SVG. Confirm what is actually editable, and retain your research data and original files.
